SOE Section A – Applicability and Exemptions from Certification

On June 27, 2023, the ACA Section A Working Group presented drafts of a set of interpretation guidance materials they collaboratively developed, intended for certifiers to use for more consistent interpretation of new certification and exemption requirements. The Working Group presented materials designed to enable certifiers, inspectors, operations, and other interested stakeholders to more easily understand who must be certified, the contours of exemptions, and what information must be gathered from exempt handlers to ensure integrity and enable supply chain audits.
